  • In order to pursue the concepts of "sustainable cities and communities" and "reduced inequality" in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and to promote a culture, art and creative atmosphere, the Urban and Rural Development Department of New Taipei City Government, organized the SDGs Art Competition with the theme of " Trintegrity Shining Wugu Charlotte". The event runs from now to August 19. Taiwanese and foreigners in Taiwan who are concerned about sustainable development, social fairness, economic justice, art, and culture are invited to actively participate.

Commissioner Huang Guo-Feng of the Urban and Rural Development Department pointed out that Mayor Hou Yu-Ih has publicly stated that SDGs is his biggest policy goal. New Taipei City published the first SDGs Local Voluntary Review Report (VLR) in 2019. It is the first city in Taiwan and the tenth city in the world to publish the report. Since the mayor took office half and three years ago, he has promoted many major urban and rural planning and municipal construction. Under the leadership of the mayor, the city government team took more than two years to transform the massive Wugu garbage mountain, and successfully turn it into a green and friendly space. This major achievement is to implement relevant United Nations sustainable development goals; and, at the same time, reflect the pursuit of the concept of integrity. In Taiwan, NTPC government is also the first one that took the lead in promoting the combination of distributive justice and the concept of integrity, emphasizing that the purpose of anti-corruption work is to help pursue social fairness and economic justice, and reduce inequality. The term "Trintegrity" means that in addition to attaching importance to anti-bribe (decency) and anti-waste (development), we must pursue a clean, harmonious and happy society of distributive justice which leaves no one behind.

Mr. Wen Chi-Sheng, Chief of the Civil Service Ethics Office of the Urban and Rural Development Department, added that the maximum prize of this event is NT$20,000. There are many lucky draw opportunities. Interested domestic and foreign friends are welcome to actively participate in the event and provide high-quality and creative works.
